PROFILE/BIO

Founder and proprietor of AriaRustic, Justine Dunnavant, MT-BC is a board certified music therapist with nearly 10 years of professional experience in the field of music therapy, working with a wide variety of clientele, including children with special needs, adolescents who are emotionally disturbed, adults with developmental disabilities, and well adults open to self-exploration.  Justine earned her bachelors degree in music therapy from Radford University and 15 graduate credit hours in the field of Health and Exercise Science from Furman University. 

 Justine is currently continuing her studies as a music therapist and holistic wellness professional through advanced level training in GIM (Guided Imagery and Music)  and MARI (Mandala Assessment Research Institute).  She also has plans to continue her work in graduate studies. 

 In addition to therapeutic services, Justine is also invested in music performance.  She studied classical vocal and french horn performance during her undergraduate career.  Drawing from her bluegrass roots from childhood, her formal music training and her experiences as a music therapist among many different social groups, Justine’s original songs present a unique folk style that speak to the universal themes of her lyrics.  She strives to use beautiful simplicity in her musical style to make her lyrical messages accessible to a wide range of audiences.
